Call it Total Confidence or Assurance or even ... wait for it ... add a PLUS. Holy F, why is every car maker doing the exact same thing. It's really lame advertising. I understand that these are tough times and people are looking for some reassurance, but isn't there a different way to do it?
Well ... I guess I'm not the only one who sees the absurdity in all of this hogwash. Check out this spot from Hyundai ;)

Yo gotta see this. Juggernaut Advertising just kicked Audi's ass in the name of BMW.
I haven't heard of Juggernaut before this, but I quite like them now. The get it. They are smart and fast. Just check out their website ... it's not gimmicky or flashy, but it's to the point.
Nice work guys. Keep it up.

Just stumbled upon this agency out of Montreal. They do really sweet work and unlike the buzzword fakers, they truly get how to integrate social marketing with traditional stuff.
So congrats Sid Lee. You're the new fav agency of the week, and rightfully so, your agency has found a place on the Meatlog "A"gency list.
Sid Lee recently published Capital Conversation, a set of ideas that teach marketers how to create the ingredients necessary for word-of-mouth.

Saw this Audi spot on AdRants. I've seen companies position themselves as one thing or another by using visual cues like cycling, or swimming, or rowing etc. ... but this one is different because it takes it one step further and puts the visual metaphor in the correct environment. Very cool EFX too.

You gotta check this out....it's a 3-d website. Minnesota ad agency Colle+McVoy invites viewers to visit their mountain retreat for a little R&R.
First you have to order 3d glasses (unless you're a total dork that keeps a pair handy) — but if not — they will promptly send you a pair in the mail. Once you have your fashionable red and blue shades, just log on to Snowdin.com and leave your holiday stress behind.
This is a very cool idea and it's an execution that I've never seen before. Mad props! Oh yeah, don't forget to download your desktop cookoo clock ... it's awesome! CooKoo CooKoo!

These guys have a really great site. The animation is slick but it doesn't get in the way, and the sound design adds a nice touch. The only thing better than their website is their work.

Meet "Black Boy Wanting Water", a guerilla marketing campaign that I found on EcoPOP. As stated on EcoPOP — "It's a perfect example that proves successful marketing communications are not about big budgets, but about big ideas."
The campaign resulted in 5 million in charitable contributions in only six days!
Agency: Mortierbrigade Brussel
Campaign Awards: Surprise Surprise, they won them all .... Gold Direct, Gold, Silver Media Lions Winner and Titanium Lions Winner

Really cool idea. Although I wonder how many people don't get it ... what's it like if you aren't at the perfect angle at the perfect hour of the night?
Who cares .. long live the great idea!

Fast food menu photos always look damn tasty. But the problem is that the jack-ass making your food won't put the same loving care and attention into it that the team of Art directors, Photographers, Food stylists, and Account executives devoted to it during the shoot. Well it's true — and here's the proof.
It's OK though, because you don't want to eat the food from the photo shoot either. That is, unless you like glycerin coated meat and and toothpicks stuffed throughout the sandwich.
This photo of a Pulled Pork Sandwich is from a food shoot that I just Art Directed yesterday for a client at the agency. Looks damn tasty right!

Yesterday I saw these huge banners hanging in the 30th street train station in Philadelphia. When I got there in the morning I only saw the first one, and I was pleasantly puzzled .... I couldn't wait until this mysterious ostrich thingy revealed itself as the advertisement I knew it would become. Later that day I strolled back into the train station, and low and behold, on the opposite wall there was the second banner.
The headline reads: Get a world view. Read the Economist.
Not sure what agency did this ad ... maybe Ogilvy? But as far as I'm concerned ... you can't go wrong with giant ostrich posters.
* Update: Agency is BBDO N.Y.
* New photo is via
clément and Adhunt. Thanks guys!

I'm color correcting a spot for the VA lottery today ... so I'm in the city of Brotherly Love ... aka Philadelphia. And, in an effort to expand "A"gency list, I asked the colorist what the hottest Philly agency is...
So, here's one that definitely makes the grade: Stick and Move
The agency was started by a couple of guys from CP+B ... surprise surprise!
P.S. — Stay tuned for the new lotto spot.

This YouTube ad for the new Mario Land Wii game is absolutely awesome! The creative is great and the execution is flawless .... but I'm most impressed with the media buy.
Does anyone know who is responsible for this creative mediatastic awesomeness? And just because I really really want you to check this out, I will add one more link to this.

Everyone knows that Microsoft Windows "Vista" is a big piece of stinky doo doo. ... Or is it?
The king of advertising trickery CP+B (see: exhibit a) is trying to change this perception with The Mojave Experiment.
Apparently a bunch of Vista haters were invited to preview "Mojave," the newest version of windows. After they all gave Mojave glowing reviews, they were informed that it was
actually Vista.
Nice work CP+B.
